Thrilled and honored that Atlanta Film Festival has chosen my feature screenplay, Leaving Bethlehem, to advance past the quarterfinalist round of the 2025 Screenplay Competition. This film, which tells the story of a queer Southern woman struggling for her independence, is deeply personal and is so desperately needed in a country that has becoming increasingly hostile towards queer folks. Plus, being recognized by my hometown makes this honor even sweeter. Special shoutout to PageCraft and From Script to Preproduction for supporting my writing with their great script feedback.
